Workshop: | How To Build A Musical |
---|---|
Description: | Using songs and scene work from throughout musical theatre history we will explore the fundamentals of storytelling in a musical. How did they come up with these rules and which shows have broken them. This is for the ACTor that wonders: What is an “I Want” song or and “11 O’Clock Number” and what do shows like Hamilton, Oklahoma and more all have in common? Part lecture, part scene study and scene work- this will give students the fundamentals of theatrical storytelling. |
